Department Discipline
Within in this page, you will find what our discipline policies are.

Here at the LSO, we have strict discipline policies. You will be disciplined accordingly if you fail to follow all proper procedures. More significant punishments will affect your career and could hold you back from higher promotions. This is so we can have a positive work environment and a smooth running department.
The punishment structure ensures that a deputy receives the correct punishment for their actions. The following is the structure of punishments that can be taken.

Strike
Demotion
Termination
Blacklist
This ensures a healthy work environment everyone can enjoy and be efficient. At the LSO, we believe that most punishments should be appealable, but due to the severity of a punishment, you may not be allowed to appeal it for administrative reasons.
Below is a table showing the maximum amount of each infraction you are allowed.

If you fail to appeal a punishment, it will go to your record, and all division leaders and HR will receive a copy of your punishment. Due to your history with the department, joining a special division may be denied at any time, and division leaders reserve the right to refuse you. You may be denied promotions or high positions, such as HR, because of your history.
You may not be put back in your previous position, depending on the punishment. If you successfully appeal a blacklist, you will be put back to a Probationary Deputy and will need to receive formal training again. A successful appeal of a termination might reinstate you to your position again or a position below the one you were in before.
The LSO takes and follows all of these steps at all times. If you feel the LSO is not taking proper action or following correct procedures, contact the SHR team and express your concerns.
Please remember that you may receive any of the punishments listed above at any time. You must make the correct decisions and follow the department's policies. If you fail to do so, you will be punished accordingly.
