Chain of Command

Within this page, you will find the Chain of Command for the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office, along with the authority given to each rank within the in-game server.


Administrative Staff

Sheriff

The Sheriff of the Lancaster Sheriff's Office has the highest authority within the Department and the final say in all changes made within the Department.

Undersheriff

The Undersheriff of the Lancaster Sheriff's Office has the second-highest authority within the Department. The authority is this authority, which the sheriff can be revoked for any reason they see fit.

Assistant Sheriff

The Assistant Sheriff of the Lancaster Sheriff's Office has the third-highest authority in the Department. The sheriff's authority's power can be revoked for any reason.

Watch Commander

The Lancaster Sheriff's Office's watch commander has the authority to make any decision the Captains make and below. The Watch Commander can respond to situations, even if unnecessary. It is at the watch commander's discretion whether an employee should be infracted.


Command Staff

Captain

The Captains have the Authority to Notice, Warn, Strike, and Suspend people if necessary. Captains have the authority to authorize a scene while in-game and the power to hand off scene commands to whomever they see fit.

Lieutenant

They have the authority to warn and strike any LSO employee if they see fit. Lieutenants can take over a scene in-game (if there are no Captains On-scene) if needed.


Field Staff

Field Sergeant

The Lancaster Sheriff's Office field sergeants are the Highest-Ranking Patrol Supervisors. The Field Sergeants have the authority to authorize the unit to respond without anyone else's say-so and respond to any call, regardless of the situation or whether the backup was called. Field sergeants also have the authority to authorize a moderately urgent scene for anyone they deem fit.

Sergeant

The Lancaster Sheriff's Office's Sergeants are all employees' direct supervisors. They have the power to override the decisions made by anyone of lower rank than them and to hand over a non-urgent scene to anyone they deem fit.

Corporal

The Lancaster Sheriff's Office corporals are the direct supervisors of the active patrol units. Corporals can hand over a non-urgent scene to anyone they deem fit.

Master Deputy

The Lancaster Sheriff's Office's Master Deputies are the Highest-ranked non-supervisory Patrol units, and they have the authority to respond to a supervisor call if none are available upon request.

Senior Deputy

The Senior Deputies of the Lancaster Sheriff's Office have slight authority over others, the authority to tell another deputy who is lower in rank than them what they can and can not do.

Deputy

The Lancaster Sheriff's Office deputies have no authority over department personnel.


Trainee

Probationary Deputy

Probationary Deputies of the Lancaster Sheriff's Office are sworn-in Deputies who have not completed their probationary period. They have no authority over personnel or Civilians.
